Straight answer
Is OraclePvP free to play?
Yes. OraclePvP is free to join and free to play. There is a store, and rather than be vague about it, here is exactly what it sells and what you can get without it.
What you can earn without spending anything
- Gems, the premium currency, also come from
/daily, from voting and from trading with other players. Voting all five sites in a day pays 3 gems, and there are weekly and monthly gem milestones on top. - Every progression system: all five skills to level 500, 25 prestiges per location, 24 island growth stages, all six dungeons, the Mega Boss and the Underworld.
- Every armour set and artifact is craftable or drops in game. Essence fragments come from location crates you earn by playing.
- Store credit, by placing top three on the weekly leaderboard. Solo pays $20, $15 and $10; Squad pays $40, $30 and $20, claimed through a Discord ticket.
That last one is worth restating: the leaderboard pays real store credit, so it is possible to kit yourself out from the store without spending money.
What the store actually sells
- Ranks, which carry perks and cosmetics. The PLUS rank adds a permanent 1.25x skill EXP.
- Gems, which buy automation tools, boosters, cosmetics, kits and lootboxes.
- Crates and lootboxes, which is where several of the rarer armour sets come from.
Where money does help, honestly
Two places. First, time: the gemshop automation tools (auto sell chests, crop collectors, mineshaft auras, sell and condense wands) remove manual work rather than raising your ceiling. Second, lootbox armour sets like Celestial, Spring, Odyssey and Tropical are lootbox sourced, and those are genuinely strong.
The counterweight is that lootbox keys and gems are both earnable, and the non lootbox sets are not far behind. Underworld, at x3 boss damage from Fighting crates, is fully earnable and only half a step under Celestial at x3.5.
Where money does not help
Prestige, island growth, skills and the leaderboard are all time and play, not payment. Weekly Growth is measured on value you deposit, and you cannot buy value blocks into your island with real money.
The fair summary
Paying buys convenience and a shot at the top tier lootbox gear sooner. It does not buy progression, and the weekly leaderboard pays store credit back to the players who grind hardest. Judge it yourself: everything above is published in the public wiki with exact numbers.
